What you can do with a connected timer

Everything you need for solo training. Phone propped up, timer on belt, done.

Start from the app

Tap Start in Log Attempt. The timer beeps after your chosen delay (random 1.0–4.0 s, or fixed 1–7 s). No need to touch the timer between drills.

Live shot stream

Each shot's time appears in the app the instant the timer detects it. Last-shot time and shot count update in real time.

Pause & Resume

On supported timers (SG), pause a session mid-run and resume without losing your shot history. Hidden when the timer doesn't support it — no broken buttons.

Reconnect on the fly

App backgrounded or out of range? Hit Factor reconnects automatically when the app comes back to the foreground. Buffered shots stay intact.

Battery & firmware

See your timer's battery and firmware version on the Connected card. Low-battery warning kicks in below 30 %.

Smart idle disconnect

If no shots arrive for 10 minutes, Hit Factor drops the connection to save phone battery. Auto-reconnects on next session.

1 SG battery indicator surfaces only when the device exposes the standard BLE Battery Service (most do).

2 AMG’s firmware-info packet is a vendor-internal debugging aid, not published for third-party use — per AMG guidance the trainer does not query it and no version line is shown for AMG timers.

Heads-up. Bluetooth shot timers are supported on iOS and Android only. The trainer's web and desktop builds work fully without a timer (manual time entry); BLE-dependent features are mobile-exclusive. Bluetooth timer integration is a Trainer Pro feature — the rest of the app is free to use.
